We cannot guarantee that your participation will lead to a career, but we often have talent / modeling scouts as judges or in the audience. You can't be seen if you don't compete! We promote our queens whenever possible. Our queens have been in over 10 different magazines. They have appeared in newspapers, commercials, movies & have been on ABC news & both local and national television. We assisted several queens with landing extra roles in the movie “Carrie 2 - The Rage”. We helped a former National Queen Scarlett Good obtain an audition for a commercial & she was also in "Carrie 2 -The Rage". We did this just after she gave up her 1998 National American Royalty Title! Several of our queens were extras in Juwanna Man". National Queen of Queens, Tara Nicole was chosen this year to appear as an extra in “A Tale About Bootlegging.” Tara Nicole has also received other auditions for film and was chosen to act on stage at a Disney World Christmas show. Our National Ambassador Tori Layton sang on the Jenny Jones Show and was also chosen to act on stage at a Disney World Christmas Show & 2002 National queens Katie, Sydney & Angel filmed a commercial for J & W Communications!!! Three of our queens can be seen on "Tiara Girls" (as visiting queens)This year, we have been to Myrtle Beach, Disney World, Animal Kingdom, Epcot & MGM with our national queens. Not to mention the parties! We also stress service to others. This year our queens raised over 3,000 food & toiletry items, over 3,000 books, over 100 Easter Baskets, 800 notebooks & over 2,000 boxes of crayons for charity. They also participated in a Christmas stocking stuffer campaign for at-risk children. In the past 5 years we have donated more than 40,000 cans of food to the homeless. A more detailed schedule will be mailed to contestants. Make-up artists must have their own room at the hotel, as there will not be an area big enough for them to use downstairs. We are a natural pageant & you really do not need a hairdresser unless you just really want one. Tentative schedule: SAT.: 10:00am Swimwear, 11:00 Costume, 12:00 Formal Wear. 1:30 mom’s tribute crowning of National Mom & Dad Announcement of Cover Winner & Alternates & Brilliant Belles & Talent winners. ***Break for dinner & nap*** 70’s party & preliminary awards 8:00pm. Sunday: 11:30am ALL-STAR competition followed by Beauty, 12:30 Queens Choice Awards ***Break for dinner & nap*** 1:30 rehersal for opening number (queens only). 5:30 Awards show & farewells for div supremes & overalls. We used to allow this, and we got complaints from contestants who were bothered by other directors as they were preparing for competition...so, we encourage other pageants to purchase a page of advertising in our program book FOR $100.00. Or, you may send us your pwk & $50 & we will place your entry forms in the gift bags. This will ensure that you reach every contestant & will also ensure privacy for our contestants who do not wish to be bothered. We are not responsible for the prizes which have been donated by sponsors. We have a 90 day grace period on age groups if you did not do a qualifying event. If you did a State or Preliminary event you may stay in the same age group you were in at that event, at nationals also, or you may move up. All bounced checks will be charged a $35.00 fee & your child could be disqualified, so please be responsible. Any past due balance over 30 days will result in forfeiture of title & bond. Thank you. Cover girl / Princess & program book photos must be mailed or e-mailed to our office, we must have these by JULY 18th. If we do not have them by then, they will not be judged. Good sportsmanship is required by everyone, not just contestants but their families, friends, hairdresser or anyone else who accompanied you to the pageant. Failure to abide by this rule will lead to disqualification. This includes participation in “internet chat rooms” or “bash boards”. You agree not to talk about our pageant on-line, with the exception of congratulating people & congratulation banner - this includes your family, hairdresser etc. anyone who came with you - so make sure they understand that their poor attitude will come back on your child. I have the ability to trace ISP’s & will do so if I am informed of bashing on-line. You will lose your title, awards, bonds, etc. & any legal fees incurred by us due to your act of liable, will be paid by YOU. Judges' decisions are final if you question the results you will be disqualified right then & there. We are a POSITIVE FAMILY SYSTEM & have no tollarance for nasty behavior. By signing the entry form you agree to this. We do not disclose who is entering ahead of time, do not ask.. Modeling routines are limited to 90 seconds...you will be timed. Points will be deducted for every 5 seconds over. All OPTIONAL events take place on Saturday, Beauty / Intro Crowning & farwells on Sunday. Stage will be in a T formation with a runway. No cameras or video equipment in the ballroom, we have professionals on hand for your convenience. Savings bonds are guaranteed. Bonds are awarded when queen gives up her title the following year - unless otherwise advertised. To earn bond, queen must come back to Nationals for Saturday & Sunday & crown her successor, she must have made 6 appearances during the year (anywhere) & must have a white appearance outfit (your choice) & a red pageant tee-shirt. You may compete in any pageants you choose, we do not restrict our queens...HOWEVER...if you enter & win a pageant which prohibits you from wearing & representing your American Royalty pageant, you agree that you will return to the pageant office all prizes / monies etc won in MINT condition, or replace said items at your expense, within 4 weeks after the national office notifies you and your title will be awarded to your first alt. If more than 6 months passes before you win a restricted title, you will give up your crown, etc. as stated above, but we will not crown a replacement, as too much time has passed. You also lose your bond. You, the parent assume the responsibility for the choices you make for your child. It is not any fault of ours if you have made this choice & you should not expect that we would welcome you promoting another title at our functions, nor should you expect us to pay you for doing so. It is my personal opinion that young children should be taught the importance of finishing their commitments & should not be forced to choose between titles, which is why we don’t restrict our queens from other competitions (so long as you fulfill your commitment to us). Some pageants do not feel this way & unfortunately, if you are asked by another pageant not to represent any other title & you agree to do so, you must relinquish your American Royalty title. It simply is not fair to deny another child the honor of the title if you choose to only represent only another organization. By signing the consent form, you agree to this. It is the responsibility of the winner to provide the pageant with his / her ss # for the bond. Winner is responsible for any & all taxes on prizes won. All ca$h prizes are awarded ON STAGE the day of crowning. Bonds are awarded the next year when you crown your successor. We do not pro-rate. |
